The lima bean matriarchal herd is a conflation of ideas. It's a depiction of a healthy family system, in which older family members protect the younger and or sick members. This occurs in some animal groups, like the elephant herd.

Cast mineral stained Jahn with stainless steel fisheye hooks for optional groupings. The beans float parallel to the wall by approximately 3/4 of an inch.
