It makes sense that my one-of-a kind, limited edition botanical sculpture is made of a state of the art breathable restoration material: reconstituted stone. I have first hand experience of the seasonal effects on outdoor ornament in the Northeast from working for over 12 years as the in-house conservator technician for Barbara Israel Garden Antiques.

Hands on training from TJ Dixon and Nina Akamu, studies at The NY Academy of Art and consultations with conservators at The Metropolitan Museum of Art create a perfect storm for the development of this sculpture.

I first sculpt in clay then make a mold. From that mold I cast the piece and then finish the surface with mineral stain.  Stems, shoots, etc. are cast in bronze and a patina applied.
